The Gist There are many apps in the Ubuntu Touch store everywhere that come with unique, difficult to remember names for example, Fahrplan, Dekko, Podbird, Chancho, Wunderlist etc. How do users find them? Are users expected to scroll through the app scope searching for the app? Of course not..they can either type to search or filter by category. However, what if they don't remember the name of the app, then searching by name becomes irrelevant. So how do we app developers make it easier? Keywords Magic of Keywords Unity 7 (and also Unity 8), Gnome Shell and most popular Desktop Environments provide support for keywords. Keywords allow users to search for apps by the functionality that they offer. For instance, Fahrplan might make sense to users who speak German, but for the rest of the world, it is rather ambiguous and difficult to remember.
